User Service Agreement

Effective Date: February 13, 2026

Special Notice: Before using the "Linu Push Gateway System" (hereinafter referred to as "the Service"), please carefully read and fully understand the terms of this "User Service Agreement" (hereinafter referred to as "this Agreement"), especially the clauses regarding exemption or limitation of liability, applicable law, and dispute resolution. If you do not agree to any terms of this Agreement, please stop using the Service immediately. Your use of the Service (including but not limited to downloading, installation, registration, login, browsing, usage, etc.) constitutes your acknowledgement and acceptance of all terms of this Agreement.

I. Definitions

  1. The Service: Refers to the cross-platform lightweight message push solution developed and operated by the Linu Team (hereinafter referred to as "we" or "us"), including but not limited to Linu client applications (iOS/Android), server programs (Rust Server), and related technical support services.
  2. User: Refers to individuals or organizations who register, log in, or use the Service (hereinafter referred to as "you").
  3. Content: Refers to any text, images, audio, video, links, etc., sent, received, or stored by users through the Service.

II. Service Content

  1. The Service primarily provides message push gateway functionality, allowing users to push messages to mobile devices through self-hosted servers or public services.
  2. Core features provided by the Service include but are not limited to: message push, message display, Webhook interaction, and end-to-end encrypted transmission.
  3. Service Changes: We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate part or all of the Service features at any time. For free services, we are not liable for any compensation to users.

III. User Rights

  1. Software License: We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Service. You may install, use, display, and run the Software on your mobile device subject to compliance with this Agreement.
  2. Data Control: You have full ownership and control over the local message data stored on your device. You have the right to decide whether to enable end-to-end encryption, and you exclusively hold and manage the decryption keys.
  3. Right to Know: You have the right to know how we process your personal information (see "Privacy Policy") and any functional updates or changes to the Service.
  4. Service Choices: You have the right to set push notification permissions, sound preferences, etc., according to your needs, and you also have the right to terminate the use of the Service and delete your data at any time.

IV. User Conduct Code

You must comply with relevant laws and regulations when using the Service and must not use the Service for the following activities:

  1. Illegal Activities:

    • Opposing basic principles established by the Constitution;
    • Endangering national security, leaking state secrets, subverting state power, or undermining national unity;
    • Harming national honor and interests;
    • Inciting ethnic hatred or discrimination, or undermining ethnic unity;
    • Undermining national religious policies or promoting cults and feudal superstitions;
    • Spreading rumors to disturb social order or undermine social stability;
    • Spreading obscenity, pornography, gambling, violence, murder, terror, or abetting crimes;
    • Insulting or slandering others, or infringing upon the legitimate rights and interests of others;
    • Containing other content prohibited by laws and administrative regulations.
  2. Service Abuse:

    • Reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or attempting to discover the source code of the Service without authorization;
    • Using any automated programs, scripts, crawlers, etc., to access or use the Service;
    • Sending spam, harassment messages, advertisements, or other content that interferes with the normal use of other users;
    • Attacking or destroying the security of the Service's servers, networks, or systems.

V. Data Security and Privacy Protection

  1. Privacy Policy: Protecting user privacy is our fundamental policy. For information on how we collect, use, and store your personal information, please refer to our "Privacy Policy".
  2. End-to-End Encryption: We strongly recommend that you enable end-to-end encryption. In encryption mode, your message content is only decrypted on your device, and we, as the service provider, cannot access your plaintext messages.
  3. Data Ownership: Data generated during your use of the Service (such as local message records) belongs to you. We only provide transmission channels and are not responsible for data loss or damage. We recommend that you regularly backup important data.

VI. Intellectual Property Rights

  1. All intellectual property rights of the Service (including but not limited to software, technology, programs, web pages, text, images, audio, video, charts, layout design, electronic documents, etc.) belong to us.
  2. Part of the Service's code follows open-source licenses (such as the MIT License). You must comply with the relevant open-source licenses when using open-source code.
  3. Without our written permission, no one may use, copy, modify, link, reprint, compile, publish, or otherwise use any content of the Service.

VII. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

  1. Nature of Service and Reliability:

    • As a technical channel for information transmission, this Service relies on third-party push services (such as Apple APNs, Google FCM) and network environments. We do not guarantee the absolute delivery rate, timeliness, order, or completeness of message push.
    • We are not responsible for message loss, delay, or failure caused by network congestion, carrier faults, third-party service interruptions, system maintenance, etc.
  2. Key and Data Security:

    • You are responsible for safeguarding your end-to-end encryption keys, device passwords, and account credentials. We are not responsible for any data loss, inability to decrypt, or illegal acquisition by others caused by your improper custody (such as loss, theft, or leakage of keys).
    • If you do not enable the end-to-end encryption feature, messages will exist in unencrypted or only transport-layer encrypted (HTTPS) forms during transmission, and you shall bear the corresponding security risks.
  3. Self-Hosting Risks:

    • If you choose to deploy this Service on your own server or a third-party cloud platform (Self-hosted), you are responsible for the security configuration, maintenance, and backup of the server. We are not responsible for service unavailability or data leakage caused by security vulnerabilities, configuration errors, hardware failures, etc., in your self-deployed environment.
  4. Third-Party Content and Links:

    • Messages transmitted by this Service may contain links to third-party websites or applications. We are not responsible for the authenticity, legality, or security of the content of third-party links. You bear the risks associated with clicking on such links.
  5. Force Majeure:

    • We are not responsible for service interruptions or losses caused by force majeure (such as natural disasters, wars, terrorist attacks, riots, government actions, export controls, sanctions), computer viruses, hacker attacks, system instability, etc.
  6. Compliance and Safe Harbor:

    • As a technical service provider, we do not substantively review the content transmitted by users. Users shall bear the legal responsibility for using the Service. If a user uses the Service for illegal activities, we have the right to cooperate with judicial authorities in investigations and take measures such as banning accounts.
  7. Limitation of Liability:

    • To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including but not limited to loss of profits, data loss, business interruption, etc.) incurred by users. Regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, or otherwise), our total liability shall not exceed the service fees (if any) you paid to us in the past 12 months.

VIII. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

  1. The conclusion, execution, interpretation, and dispute resolution of this Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China.
  2. Any dispute arising from or in connection with this Agreement shall be settled through friendly negotiation between both parties; if negotiation fails, either party may file a lawsuit with the people's court having jurisdiction over our location.

IX. Others

  1. Agreement Modification: We have the right to modify the terms of this Agreement when necessary. Once the modified agreement is published, it will effectively replace the original agreement. Your continued use of the Service constitutes your acceptance of the modified agreement.
  2. Notification: We may send you relevant notifications via web announcements, system notifications, etc.
  3. Language: This Agreement is provided in both Chinese and English. In case of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the two versions, the Chinese version shall prevail.
