Privacy Policy

Effective Date: February 13, 2026

Introduction

Linu (hereinafter referred to as "we") attaches great importance to your privacy. This Privacy Policy is intended to explain to you how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you use the Linu Push Gateway System (App and Server) (hereinafter referred to as "the Service"), as well as how you can exercise your rights.

Please read and understand this Privacy Policy carefully before using the Service. By starting to use the Service, you agree to the entire content of this Privacy Policy.

I. How We Collect and Use Your Information

In order to provide you with services, we may collect the following types of information:

  1. Device Information

    • Device Token: To implement the message push function, we need to obtain your device's push token (such as APNs Token, FCM Token). This is necessary information for implementing push services.
    • Device Model and System Version: Used for adapting interface display and troubleshooting compatibility issues.
  2. Communication Content

    • Message Transmission and Temporary Storage: To ensure that messages are not lost during high concurrency or network fluctuations, our server uses Write-Ahead Logging (WAL) technology. Your message content is temporarily written to the server's disk log files before being processed.
    • Data Lifecycle: WAL log files are only used for system failure recovery and ensuring message delivery. We regularly (typically within 7 days) automatically clean up and delete these log files. We will not permanently archive your message content or store it in a traditional structured database.
    • End-to-End Encryption: We strongly recommend that you enable the end-to-end encryption feature. When you enable this feature, your message content is encrypted at the sending end (the pusher) and only decrypted at the receiving end (the App). In this case, even if the message is temporarily recorded in the WAL log, we can only see the indecipherable ciphertext and cannot view your original content.
  3. Log Information

    • To ensure the secure and stable operation of the service, we may collect server access logs, including IP addresses, request times, request types, etc. These logs are used only for troubleshooting and security analysis and do not contain your message content.

II. How We Use Cookies and Similar Technologies

The App side of the Service does not use Cookies. The Web side may use necessary Cookies or Local Storage to maintain your login status (if applicable) or save your preferences. We will not use these technologies to collect your personal privacy data.

III. How We Share, Transfer, and Publicly Disclose Your Information

  1. Sharing: We will not share your personal information with any third-party companies, organizations, or individuals, except in the following cases:

    • Third-Party Push Services: To implement the push function, we need to send your device token and encrypted message payload to Apple Push Notification service (APNs) or Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). These third-party services will process your data in accordance with their privacy policies.
    • Legal Circumstances: We may share your personal information in accordance with laws and regulations, litigation dispute resolution needs, or requirements legally proposed by administrative and judicial authorities.
  2. Transfer: We will not transfer your personal information to any company, organization, or individual, except in cases of merger, acquisition, or bankruptcy liquidation.

  3. Public Disclosure: We will only publicly disclose your personal information after obtaining your explicit consent or based on laws and regulations.

IV. How We Protect Your Information

  1. Technical Measures: We adopt security protection measures that comply with industry standards, including HTTPS transmission encryption, end-to-end message encryption, access control, etc., to prevent data from unauthorized access, public disclosure, use, modification, damage, or loss.
  2. Local Storage: Your message records, grouping information, and configuration information are stored in the local database (SQLite) of your device, completely under your control. We will not upload this data to cloud servers.
  3. Security Notice: The Internet environment is not 100% secure. We strongly recommend that you keep your keys and device passwords safe.

V. Your Rights

  1. Access and Management: You can view and manage your local data in the App at any time, including deleting messages, clearing sessions, etc.
  2. Data Export: You can extract your local chat records and key information through the backup/export function provided by the App for data migration or backup.
  3. Withdraw Consent: You can stop receiving push messages by turning off notification permissions in system settings.
  4. Service Cancellation: Since we do not maintain a centralized user account system, you only need to uninstall the App and delete local data to completely terminate the use of the Service.

VI. How We Process Children's Personal Information

The Service is primarily intended for adult users. If you are a minor under the age of 14, you should read this Privacy Policy together with your parents or other guardians under their supervision and guidance before using the Service. If we discover that we have collected personal information from children without guardian consent, we will try to delete the relevant data as soon as possible.

VII. How Your Information Is Transferred Globally

The Service may be provided globally. Depending on your region and the third-party push services used (such as Google FCM), your device token and message payload may be transferred to servers outside your country/region for processing.

VIII. How This Policy Is Updated

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. When major changes occur to the Privacy Policy, we will notify you through App pop-ups, system notifications, or web announcements. If you continue to use our services, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.

IX. Language

This Privacy Policy is provided in both Chinese and English. In case of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the two versions, the Chinese version shall prevail.

X. How to Contact Us

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions regarding this Privacy Policy, please contact us through official channels. We will review the issues involved as soon as possible and reply promptly after verifying your user identity.
